Yang Ming to upgrade vessel capacity on India service

Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. has upgraded its India service and South-East Asia service in August to meet market demand.

It will enhance the capacity of its vessels plying the West India-China line, dubbed WIN, from August 31. The WIN service is operated jointly by Yang Ming, NYK, X-Press Feeders, Hapag-Lloyd and Wan Hai. The calling ports will include Ningbo, Shanghai, Shekou, Singapore, Port Klang, Nhava Sheva, Pipavav, Colombo and Hong Kong.

Besides WIN, Yang Ming operates the CPX and CIX services to facilitate Indian and Pakistani customers.

In addition, it has launched a new direct service from Singapore to Indonesia (SS1 service) through cooperation with Advance Container Lines (Pte) Ltd, beginning August 9. The ports of call are Singapore, Semarang, Singapore in a round voyage of 7 days.

Also, a South-East Asia Service II (SEA2), operated independently by Yang Ming, has been added with an owned 1,800-TEU vessel, from August 15. The port rotation is Haiphong, Ho Chi Minh City, Singapore, Port Klang and Singapore with a round voyage of 14 days.
