In this coming 3rd of May, Wan Hai Lines shall resume its Asia to West Coast of South America service via partnership with PIL, EMC and Coscon. Last year, WHL's standalone service was suspended due to winter season plan. During this short term period, Wan Hai's WCSA market was served via space arrangement with other carriers in the market.

This joint service, known as ASA, will be operated with 9 vessels of between 3,500 TEU to 3,900 TEU effective capacity. WHL will deploy 4 vessels, PIL will deploy 3 vessels, and Coscon/EMC will deploy one vessel each.

This weekly service will cover the following ports: Kaohsiung, Shekou, Hong Kong, Ningbo, Shanghai, Manzanillo, Lazaro Cardenas, Puerto Quetzal, Buenaventura, Callao, Guayaquil, Manzanillo and back to Kaohsiung.

The first sailing is planned to arrive at Kaohsiung on May 3.
