Sea Lead to launch new Sino Australia Express service connecting China to Australia

Sea Lead Shipping announced the launch of the Sino Australia Express (SAE) service that will connect ports in China directly to ports in Australia.  The new weekly service will commence on March 10, 2022, with the first sailing from Qingdao.

This new service from Sea Lead marks its first entry into the Australian market and will be served by six ships with an average capacity of 3,900 TEUs. The ships will be deployed in a vessel-sharing agreement partnership between Sea Lead, Pacific International Lines, T.S. Lines, and Yang Ming.

Port rotation for the SAE will be as follows:

Qingdao – Shanghai – Nansha – Shekou – Sydney – Melbourne – Brisbane – Qingdao

Commenting on the new service, Cho Kit Wei, Managing Director, Sea Lead, said, “We are delighted to introduce this new service in response to demand from our customers. We are confident that the market in Oceania will respond well to this new, express service, and we look forward to developing strong partnerships on this trade lane.”

This latest service from Sea Lead adds to its existing services that cover the Far East to the United States, India, Middle East, Mediterranean, and Europe, and will see further expansion in the near future.
