Saudi Airlines Cargo is expanding its dedicated fleet of charter aircraft with the arrival of 2 B747-400 freighters. Saudia Cargo's latest additions will form part of its 15-strong fleet composed of 4 MD11s, 2 B747-8Fs, 7 B747-400s and 2 B747-200 aircraft. Of these aircraft, 12 will be used for Saudia's scheduled services to 27 freighter destinations worldwide, while its charter business will benefit from 3 dedicated B747 freighters.

A 15-strong fleet with 12 aircraft being utilised for scheduled services, while the 3 dedicated charter aircraft will offer our clients more capacity in the ad-hoc charter market. The combination of our scheduled and charter activities enables us to offer our clients smart, cost-effective solutions via our 3 hubs in Saudi Arabia, commented Steven Peter Scholten, VP Commercial at Saudia Cargo.

Saudia Cargo's experienced Charter Team offers a round-the-clock service and is able to provide quick-time solutions for a wide variety and nature of cargo, no matter what size. Its capabilities are far-reaching; not only is it actively involved in humanitarian transportation worldwide, it can undertake transportation of livestock with IATA approved equipment available and is able to sub-charter capacity to meet specific needs for outsized or rough field operations.

Saudi Airlines Cargo operates a fleet of 15 freighters and sells the belly-capacity on 145 passenger aircraft for Saudi Arabia's flag carrier Saudia, spanning a rapidly expanding global network of 225 destinations. In addition to its scheduled freighter services, the cargo airline also provides cost-effective and practical worldwide charter flight solutions from a growing fleet of dedicated charter aircraft.
