Saudia Cargo will in the month of February 2015 boost its freighter capacity by 25% on the prime sector from Nairobi to Amsterdam. The carrier will operate at the least six extra B747F flights, so as to accommodate the heightened export market demand for Kenyan flowers into Europe during this traditional peak. These extra frequencies shall be supplementary to the carrier's already existing six weekly scheduled B747F frequencies, translating to an increased monthly consolidated capacity of 3,000 tons on this key traffic lane. Saudia Cargo's strong schedule On-Time-Performance (OTP) and continuous proven agility to deploy extra frequencies during such seasonal peak periods has amplified our position as a leading carrier in the Kenyan airfreight market, commented Ken Mbogo, Regional Director Africa at Saudia Cargo. This serves as a yet another powerful testimony of our steady progressive support to the Kenyan floricultural industry over the recent years, as well as our dedication going forward, he added.
