NYK concludes charter for LNG carrier with Osaka Gas International Transport
Osaka Gas International Transport Co., Ltd. entered into a multi-year time charter contract for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier was concluded on September 6, 2022.
The "GRACE FREESIA" to be introduced in this contract is equipped with a dual fuel low-speed diesel engine "X-DF engine" that uses fuel oil and boil-off gas, and a reliquefaction device that effectively uses surplus boil-off gas. In addition, the cargo tank is a membrane type with a capacity of 174,000 cubic meters.
As one of the world's largest LNG carrier owners and management companies, they will contribute to the realization of a stable supply of energy to Japan by leveraging the experience, know-how and networks they have cultivated thus far.
