MSC is updating its Transpacific to U.S. East Coast and Gulf network to ensure we fulfil your needs at a time when Panama Canal draft restrictions are reducing capacity.

As part of the enhancement, MSC has decided with their partners*, to split our existing Gulf service into two services, as detailed below.  One covering central China and Korea, and the other covering south China and Korea.

The existing Lone Star Express service will offer an improved transit time between central China, Korea into Houston and Mobile, as well as adding a new call in Miami, offering a faster transit into the main Florida port.

Their  new Pelican service will offer a faster transit from south China and Korea into Houston and Mobile. The service will furthermore provide a direct service into Tampa.

Lone Star Express: Ningbo – Shanghai – Busan – Panama Canal – Houston – Mobile – Miami – Freeport – Panama Canal – Rodman – Busan

Pelican: Xiamen – Yantian – Busan – Panama Canal – Houston – Mobile – Tampa – Manzanillo – Panama Canal – Balboa – Busan

The Miami call on their Emerald service shall be removed as a result of the added Miami call on the Lone Star Express service.
