Maersk levies US$50/box as US/Canada-SE Asia peak season surcharge

The world's biggest container carrier, Maersk Line, has announced a US$50 per box Peak Season Surcharge on cargo from North America to Middle East, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh mid-month.

The surcharge will be applied dry containers from the US and Canada's east and Gulf coasts from February 15 until further notice.
