Jubail Commercial Port in Saudi Arabia will take delivery of six rail-mounted gantry cranes from Liebherr Container Cranes, the crane manufacturer announced.

The cranes were ordered by Sinopec E&C Middle East Co. on behalf of Sabic.

The cranes have a span of 43 meters (about 141 feet). They can span 14 containers wide and stack one-over-six containers high. They have a working load of 40 metric tons under a telescopic spreader, and the lift height over the rail is 69 feet.

The order is Liebherr's first to supply rail-mounted gantry cranes to the Middle East, said Gerry Bunyan, Liebherr Container Cranes' sales and marketing manager, in a written statement.(Source. Joc)
