HMM launches new Korea-China-Russia service

Hyundai Merchant Marine announced that it is starting Korea-China-Russia service starting from late December.  

Currently taking apart in Korea-China-Russia service with Russia’s FESCO and France’s CMA-CGM, HMM will restructure this service with Sinokor starting from late December, by deploying five 1,000 – 1,700 TEU size vessels with additional calling ports in Korea (Busan, Ulsan, Gwangyang, etc).   

This service will be under joint operation of HMM and Sinokor - a member of HMM + K2 consortiums established in March – as a fruitful result of cooperation between transnational  Korean shipping company and the intra-Asian shipping companies.  

The new service will be composed of Central China route and South China route.  

Central China service – named CRE (China Russia Express) – is scheduled to start in Shanghai on December 30th, and will call in Shanghai – Ningbo – Busan - Vostochny – Vladivostok – Busan -Shanghai. 

South China service – named KHR (Korea-Haiphong-Russia Express) will be departing from Busan on December 29th, calling in Busan – Ulsan – Gwangyang - Hong Kong – Haiphong – Shekou – Xiamen – Busan – Vostochny – Busan.
