HMM announces updates to Transpacific East Coast operations
HMM is pleased to announce the enhancement of their Trans-Pacific East Coast service. They are enhancing the EC2 service by adding a new direct call from Cai Mep to the U.S. East Coast. As a result, the service rotations for EC1, EC2, and EC3 will be updated as outlined below.
This strategic improvement strengthens the service network & connectivity from Southeast Asia to the North American East Coast, offering optimized transit time and a wider range of transportation options to their global
customers.
EC2
- East Bound: Maintain Panama routing with adding Cai Mep and removing Xiamen
- West Bound: Switch to Cape of Good Hope (CoGH) routing. Add Halifax and Singapore, remove Manzanillo and Pusan. Manzanillo exports and Pusan imports can be shifted to EC1 as an alternative
- Current service rotation: Xiamen - Yantian - Ningbo - Shanghai - Pusan - (Panama) - Manzanillo - Savannah - Charleston - Norfolk - Manzanillo - (Panama) - Pusan - Xiamen
- New service rotation: Cai Mep - Yantian - Ningbo - Shanghai - Pusan - (Panama) - Manzanillo - Savannah - Charleston - Norfolk - Halifax - (CoGH) - Singapore - Cai Mep
