HMM Algeciras arrived at Rotterdam World Gateway (RWG)

On Wednesday 3 June the HMM Algeciras arrived at RWG for its maiden call carrying a record of 19,621 TEU of its travel to Rotterdam.

To celebrate the maiden call a small ceremony was held during which both captain and HMM were congratulated.

The HMM Algeciras is a 23.964 TEU vessel owned by the South-Korean shipping company HMM.

The company has ordered a further 11 vessels of this size.

The vessel, fitted with scrubbers, is 399 meters long and 61 meters wide (24 rows).

The vessel is currently deployed in the FE4 service of The Alliance.
