Hapag-Lloyd restructuring of West Africa Service network

German liner company Hapag-Lloyd informs that they will restructure the existing West Africa Service Network, currently comprising of their West Africa Express Loops, WAX1 and WAX2.

Hapag-Lloyd is committed to the West African Trade and valued business and they will continue to offer a reliable as well as sustainable product which will meet the requirements with a further enhanced product.

Therefore, Hapag-Lloyd decided to continue with an own standalone West African product, offering weekly fixed days departure from Antwerp and Hamburg directly to West Africa.

The new port rotation will be Antwerp " Hamburg " Algeciras " Dakar " Tema " Abidjan " Antwerp.

Hapag-Lloyd will be merging both complementary West African Loops into one single comprehensive service. The enhanced West Africa Service (WAX) will start in week 33 followed by a phase-in period.
