Hapag-Lloyd hikes Far East rate US$500 September 2

With effect from September 2, 2013 Hapag-Lloyd will roll the prevailing (PSS) Peak Season Surcharge of the Far East Westbound trade into the sea freight.

Hapag-Lloyd would further like to inform you that they will increase rates for all cargoes and all container types on the Far East westbound trade by USD 500 per TEU with effect from September 2, 2013

This will applicable for all shipments from East Asia (excluding Japan) to all North Europe and Mediterranean (West Mediterranean, East Mediterranean, Black Sea and North Africa) destinations.

East Asia comprises Japan, Republic of Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China (PRC), Macao, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Brunei, and Russian Pacific Ports of Vladivostok and Vostochny.
