Hanjin adds Khalifa Port in their FMX service

Abu Dhabi Terminals (ADT), the manager and operator of Abu Dhabi's main commercial ports, is proud to welcome Hanjin Shipping's main line Far East " Middle East Express (FMX) service to Khalifa Port Container Terminal (KPCT). The FMX service will link Abu Dhabi with major Asian import and export destinations in Korea and China as well as provide fast transit times to all other major Asian ports through regional relay ports such as Singapore and Port Kelang.

Speaking after the maiden call of the 'Hanjin Budapest the first FMX vessel at KPCT, Abu Dhabi Terminals Chief Executive Officer Martijn van de Linde said, We are delighted that one of the world's largest and most prestigious shipping lines has chosen to boost their presence in the region by adding KPCT as a port of call on their FMX service. The service will bring the Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE trades additional direct connectivity to major export/import markets and we wish Hanjin the very best of success with the new service.

Our aim remains to enhance the direct Khalifa Port Container Terminal liner network and thereby our ability to better serves the local and regional trade. Speaking on this occasion Mr.Sung-Woo Lee, Area Director for Middle East, East & South Africa from Hanjin Shipping emphasized the importance of Khalifa Port role in partnering with Hanjin Shipping in the development of Abu Dhabi.
