GAC Dubai wins FMCG Logistics Provider of the Year award
For the second consecutive year, GAC Dubai has won the FMCG Logistics Provider of the Year award at the Logistics and Transport Awards.
The accolade recognises the company’s continuing excellence and innovation in keeping up with growing demand for the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector covering food & beverages, retail and more. The win recognises GAC Dubai’s expertise, experience, service offering and technology deployed in providing seamless, flexible and efficient supply chain management solutions to the sector.
Neil McMaster, General Manager of Contract Logistics for GAC Dubai, took to the stage at the award ceremony held at Sofitel the Palm in Dubai to accept the honour.
“Once again, we are delighted that our efforts and initiatives to meet the needs for speed and accuracy of fast-moving industries like food and beverages have been recognised,” he says. “This is the result of our commitment to serving our customers as well as the team work, commitment and innovative spirit that have long been the hallmark of GAC.”
GAC has been a leader in FMCG supply chain management in the Middle East for more than a quarter of a century. Its flagship Distribution Centre has over 54,000sqm of warehousing space dedicated to food & beverage and other FMCG cargo as well as 1,800sqm of purpose-built food grade and general Value-Added Services (VAS) facilities. It also has dedicated facilities at Dubai South, JAFZA North and JAFZA South bringing its total in the Emirate to more than 170,000 pallet positions serving local and regional customers.
This latest award adds to GAC Dubai’s growing collection of industry honours from the FMCG sector, including the Logistics Middle East Awards FMCG Supply Chain of the Year two times, in the 2017 and 2018.
