Folk Maritime announces new feeder service for Port Sudan

Folk Maritime launches new direct feeder service, connecting Port Sudan with ports in Jeddah Extending customer reach to Port Sudan’s feeder port, and elevating transshipment capacity across the Red Sea.

Starting from April, Folk Maritime Services Company “Folk Maritime” will provide direct general feeder services between Port Sudan and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

As the gateway for 90% of Sudan’s international trade, Port Sudan will benefit from these direct shuttle services from Saudi Arabia’s first independent feeder and short sea shipping provider. The new fortnightly shuttle will offer a robust capacity of 700 TEU, bridging Port Sudan and ports in Jeddah – two pivotal maritime hubs in the Red Sea corridor. The service is designed to enable direct transshipment options and to extend customer reach to Port Sudan’s feeder port, a zone typically inaccessible to larger commercial vessels. Providing an expanded service offering to some of the region’s busiest shipping lines.
