EVA and Evergreen achieve IATA CEIV Certifications for fresh and live animal handling
Following their acquisition of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) CEIV (Center of Excellence for Independent Validators) Lithium Batteries certification earlier this year, EVA Air, EVA Air Warehousing, and EVA Air Services have once again joined forces to obtain the "CEIV Fresh" and "CEIV Live Animals" dual professional certifications. This makes them one of the few airline groups in the world to simultaneously obtain three certifications in the three major areas of airline, cargo warehousing, and ground services, demonstrating the EVA Group's professional integration capabilities and international-level service quality in special cargo transportation.
EVA Air has already completed four IATA CEIV series certifications, including "CEIV Pharma," "CEIV Lithium Batteries," "CEIV Fresh," and "CEIV Live Animals," making it one of the very few airlines in the world to hold all these certifications simultaneously. The joint audit by these three companies not only further strengthens the integrated operational quality of EVA Air's cargo system but also solidifies Taiwan's professional position in the global air cargo market.
Among them, Evergreen Air Freight & Storage is the first air freight and storage operator in Taiwan to obtain "CEIV Fresh" certification. It is committed to temperature control management and standardized operations for fresh goods, and every step from receiving and storing goods to delivery complies with the highest IATA standards. Through precise temperature monitoring and professional training, Evergreen Air Freight & Storage not only ensures the stability of goods quality, but also provides reliable cold chain support for the export of Taiwanese agricultural and fishery products, helping local industries connect with the international market.
In the area of ??live animal transportation, EVA Air and its logistics team work closely together to extend professional cargo standards to pet transport services, ensuring pets receive a safer and more comfortable environment during transport. Recently, to celebrate the 64th anniversary of the sister city relationship between Houston and Taipei and the 10th anniversary of EVA Air's Houston route, the Houston Zoo donated a precious male Bongo oryx to the Taipei Zoo, with EVA Air handling the intercontinental transport, demonstrating its professional capabilities and commitment to ecological conservation.
The transportation of fresh goods and live animals involves multiple operational stages and stringent safety standards. EVA Air, EVA Air Warehousing, and EVA Air Logistics maintain consistent and rigorous operating procedures to ensure stable operation at every stage. Moving forward, EVA Air will continue to collaborate with EVA Air Warehousing and EVA Air Logistics to provide customers with safe, reliable, and high-quality cargo transportation services.
