Emirates SkyCargo scores double Honours for Excellence

Emirates SkyCargo, the freight division of Emirates, continues to strengthen its position as one the world's leading and most admired air cargo carriers, after it added a further two prestigious accolades to its list of industry awards recently.

At Air Cargo Week's World Air Cargo Awards 2014, held on the sidelines of the Air Cargo China Exhibition and Conference in Shanghai last week, Emirates SkyCargo was named ˜Cargo Airline of the Year 2014'.

Emirates SkyCargo also scooped the Best Air Cargo Carrier Middle East award at Cargo News Asia's 28th Annual Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards (AFSCA), which was also held during Air Cargo China in Shanghai. Emirates SkyCargo won the award for the 19th consecutive year.

Nabil Sultan, Emirates Divisional Senior Vice President Cargo, who attended both ceremonies and accepted the awards on behalf of Emirates SkyCargo, said: We are honoured to have won these prestigious awards, particularly as our customers have voted for us. It's an affirmation of our continued focus on excellent customer service, and we thank everyone for their support, as well all our teams around our worldwide network for their hard work and commitment.

Emirates SkyCargo has a fleet of 12 freighters, 10 Boeing 777Fs and two Boeing 747-400ERFs, which provide cargo services to more than 50 destinations around the world. In 2013/14, Emirates carried 94,000 tonnes of cargo on its China services.
