DSV Panalpina A/S has acquired Agility GIL
DSV Panalpina A/S (DSV) has acquired Agility’s Global Integrated Logistics (GIL) business. The combined company will become an industry leader in global transport and logistics - now from a position as the world’s third-largest freight forwarder.
With the acquisition of GIL, DSV will have more than 75,000 employees in +90 countries working to provide customers with the best air freight, ocean freight, road transport, project transportation and contract logistics via one of the world’s strongest network.
Together, they will bring more value to their customers than they do apart, and they are now in a better position to lead a sustainable way forward for global transport and logistics, something that is very important to them.
For now, it is business as usual in terms of relationship. Until legal integration has been carried out and relevant IT systems are integrated,they are asking all customers to continue to book and track the shipments as has been doing until now.
