Diana Shipping enters time charter contract with Uniper
Diana Shipping Inc., a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with Uniper Global Commodities SE, Düsseldorf, for one of its Post-Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Phaidra.
The gross charter rate is US$28,000 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period until minimum July 1, 2022 up to maximum September 15, 2022. The charter is expected to commence on September 1, 2021.
The “Phaidra” is a 87,146 dwt Post-Panamax dry bulk vessel built in 2013.
The employment of “Phaidra” is anticipated to generate approximately US$8.40 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.
