Diana Shipping enters time charter contract with Uniper

Diana Shipping Inc., a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with Uniper Global Commodities SE, Düsseldorf, for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Leto.

The gross charter rate is US$13,000 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum eleven months to maximum thirteen months. The charter is expected to commence on May 31, 2019. The m/v Leto is currently chartered, as previously announced, to Glencore Agriculture B.V., Rotterdam, at a gross charter rate of US$12,500 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties.
 
The “Leto” is a 81,297 dwt Panamax dry bulk vessel built in 2010.
 
This employment is anticipated to generate approximately US$4.29 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.
