DHL Global Forwarding appoints new Head of Industrial Projects for Europe

DHL Global Forwarding, the air and ocean freight specialist within Deutsche Post DHL, announced the appointment of Graham Hunter as the new European head of its sub-division Industrial Projects. Effective November 1, 2014, he will be responsible for business growth in Europe and thus DHL's overarching goal of becoming the number one project forwarder. He will be based in Poyle, United Kingdom, and will report directly to Nikola Hagleitner, CEO Industrial Projects, and dotted line to Rajeev Singh-Molares, CEO EMEA, DHL Global Forwarding.

Graham Hunter started his career in the logistics industry and held various positions in the Industrial Projects business. In 2010, he joined DHL as a member of the CSI Global Customer Solutions team. Prior to his current role, he was head of Industrial Projects in the Middle East. As the business grew, he took on a progressively larger set of responsibilities including the Oil & Energy businesses of Industrial Projects in Middle East.

The scope of work within the division Industrial Projects typically involves the transportation of heavy lift and regular cargo from ex works to the project location, including import customs clearance and final delivery to job site. It also includes value added services such as route surveys (including lock, rail and bridge), transportation engineering, special cargo liability insurance and Material Management System (MMS).
