CEVA Logistics, one of the world's leading supply chain management companies, is supporting BAE Systems with its exhibition and event logistics in the Middle East.

CEVA's specialist exhibition logistics team, Showfreight, arranged Airfreight transportation for a full scale replica Typhoon, an assortment of imitation weapons, viewing platforms for BAE Systems' Hawk and Typhoon models, in addition to a standalone cockpit which were all dispatched to the Dubai Airshow in Jebel Ali, UAE. As part of the same project, CEVA also managed the movement of support equipment for the aircraft including various stand fittings, and the Eurofighter cockpit demonstrator.

While in the Middle East, the Showfreight team also loaded a disassembled Supermarine Spitfire at the British Embassy in Kuwait. CEVA coordinated the move and ensured all was handled and packed correctly prior to dispatching to the Al Ain Aerobatic Show. CEVA also flew out a team of specialists to coordinate the movements and to build the full scale replica Typhoon, unload the Spitfire and the corresponding viewing platforms.

After the Dubai Air Show all the items will be repacked and either put into local storage or returned to the UK. The Typhoon replica will be transported via CEVA's office in Dubai to the Al Ain Aerobatic Show in Abu Dhabi under CEVA's instruction. It will then be re-assembled and displayed at the show along with the Spitfire from Kuwait.

After the Al Ain Aerobatic Show, the FSR Typhoon and Spitfire will be repacked and sent onto the Bahrain International Airshow, held on 16-18 January, 2014. CEVA will also send the Eurofighter Cockpit Demonstrator from storage in Dubai onto Bahrain. After the show, this will be flown back to the UK and the FSR Typhoon will return to CEVA's facility in Dubai for storage. It will remain there until mid April when it will return to UK for display at the 2014 Farnborough Airshow " where CEVA exclusively manages all logistics activity.
