Cargolux Airlines International S.A. announced that it has delayed the start of scheduled services to Zhengzhou (CGO), China, from April 24, 2014 to May 29, 2014.

This delay is to enable the airline to finalize all regulatory requirements relating to the commencement of scheduled flights to Zhengzhou, which arose due to unforeseen procedural changes in the manner in which information has to be submitted to and approved by the relevant aviation authorities in China.

The cargo that has been booked on the flights affected will be re-routed on their other flights into China so that the impact on customers will be minimized.

Whilst this delay in operations was unexpected, the demand for our CGO flights to date has proved to be robust.

Following the successful closing of the share purchase and capital increase transactions, the discussions held in Zhengzhou this week between representatives of the Henan provincial government, the Luxembourg government, HNCA, and Cargolux resulted in a clear plan for the further development of opportunities between the parties, including under the Commercial Cooperation Agreement between HNCA and Cargolux.
