Cargolux achieves record daily aircraft utilization

Cargolux Airlines International S.A. has recorded an all-time high average daily aircraft utilization of its Boeing 747-400 freighter fleet in the first week of April 2014.

The Cargolux 747-400 freighters operated an average of 17:23 block hours per day, the highest utilization that the airline's 747-400F fleet ever achieved. During the same week, the Cargolux 747-8 freighters operated an average of 16:29 block hours per day.

Cargolux is constantly striving for high asset productivity and has long had one of the highest daily aircraft utilization rates for the 747 amongst all of the operators of this aircraft type. The company operates nine 747-400Fs along with two 747 400BCFs and nine 747-8Fs.
