Abu Dhabi working to become world class cruise line destination

Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC), the master developer of ports and industrial zones has hosted a familiarization tour around Zayed Port. The tour was part of a wider programme to show senior cruise line executives just how much Abu Dhabi can offer visiting cruise passengers.

The cruise line executives will be attending the Seatrade Middle East Cruise Forum, Abu Dhabi to discuss the Arabian Gulf cruise industry and future opportunities to collaborate. ADPC and Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) are joining forces to develop and promote Abu Dhabi as the next world class cruise line destination in the Middle East.

The Seatrade Middle East Cruise Forum Abu Dhabi, takes place from 9 " 11 December at the five-star Rosewood Hotel, Al Maryah Island and also attracts government executives and stakeholders from across the industry.

The familiarization tour was hosted by Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Acting CEO, ADPC who welcomed the visitors to Zayed Port and showed them around the new visitor facilities. They then travelled around the city of Abu Dhabi to see some of the many attractions which are so easily accessible from the port.

The Seatrade event encourages meaningful dialogue about future market development across the Gulf region and ways to encourage cruise lines to make Abu Dhabi their premium cruise destination and Zayed Port their dedicated home port.

In the past six years the number of cruise liners calling at Zayed Port has more than doubled. says Al Shamisi,The city centre port is in an ideal location and we have an amazing range of attractions on offer making Abu Dhabi a unique and very special destination and a real highlight of any Gulf cruise itinerary.
